Sam and the Seagulls

With full colour illustrations throughout, a pair of gulls nests on the roof near Sam’s upstairs room in a seaside town.  Mum and Dad complain about them, but Sam is charmed, especially as Grandad and schoolteacher Mrs Warpath share their knowledge of birds.  Sam watches every day, observing as the gulls guard their nest, protect the eggs, rear chicks and teach them to fly.

Sam learns there is no such thing as a ‘seagull’, but in fact there are many species, all finding their own niches in the world.
